Welcome to 6th Grade Science and Social Studies

Welcome to 6th grade Science and Social Studies! 

In Science, we will be following the NGSS, Next Generation Science Standards, as well as the curriculum set forth by the North Bergen Board of Education.  There will be interactive lessons, videos, and Cornell notes provided to ensure comprehension of the standards and material presented during instruction.

 

In Social Studies, we will be learning about Ancient Civilizations as well as Financial Literacy.  We will be following the curriculum set forth by the North Bergen Board of Education.   There will be activities, videos, and Cornell notes provided to ensure comprehension of the materials presented during instruction.  

This school year we, as a team, are focusing on PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY from our students and cooperation from our parents to educate and raise responsible members of society. 

We look forward to working together to ensure ALL of us have a successful and effective year of learning.  

Tests, Classwork, Homework, and Class Participation are 25% of your student's report card grades.  

Homework will be posted DAILY on a Homework Google Classroom Board.
