Hello Everyone!

 

My name is Janet Sandstrom and I am the principal here at Franklin School.

 

      I have been an educator in North Bergen for 36 years now.  I began my career as a 7th and 8th grade English teacher at Lincoln School.   After 11 years, I decided that I could better serve the students as District Supervisor of ELA.  Although I enjoyed that job immensely, I began to miss the one to one interaction with the students.  After 12 years as supervisor, I embarked on another journey, principal.  This is a job I find completely fulfilling!  I enjoy reconnecting with students in a way I never knew could be so satisfying.

 

     As you probably can see, I have a great deal of experience and the years behind it.  Please know that my number one priority is your child's educational journey.  I try to create an environment that is fun for your child, with an emphasis on the importance of education.  Our school is a safe place and a community for your child to grow and be successful in his/her future endeavors.
