Band at Franklin School

All 4th-8th graders at Franklin School are welcome to take part in our Band program. No prior knowledge is necessary- just show up with an instrument and a good attitude! Instructions to rent an instrument are available from me (Ms. Carr). I love seeing how our band students grow as musicians over the years, and seeing the enjoyment they get from their band friends and performances. Band students get one lesson per week and take part in after school rehearsals to prepare for our 2 annual shows.

The band will be preparing for 2 shows this year, our Winter and Spring Concerts. We plan to take a trip to see the New Jersey Symphony, and there are a few different band festivals open to various grades this year that will be discussed soon. Updates on these events will be posted on Google Classroom.
