My name is Mrs. Tatano.  I am teaching second grade for the 2026-2027 school year.  I am a 2003 graduate of The College of New Jersey with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education/ English. I started my teaching career in the North Bergen School District in 2004. I have taught here for 22 years where I have been both a first grade teacher and a third grade classroom teacher. This will be my eight year teaching second grade. I will be providing work on my google classroom page and have sent out invitations to all my students to join. I will also be setting up a CLASSDOJO account for parents.  It is imperative that you join that account as I message on it very often with important information and notifications. You can message me there so we can keep an open line of communication throughout this school year. I look forward to meeting your child and working with you to make this a successful school year. I have also posted the school supply list on the google classroom page as well. Please look below for the school supply list for the 2026-2027 school year. Please make sure your child is prepared with their school supplies everyday and you restock them when they run out. Thank you!

Mrs. Tatano's Supply List 2nd Grade

2026-2027

**** All supplies should be restocked throughout the school year*****

3 large glue sticks  (no liquid glue please)

2 boxes of crayons

2 erasers (medium sized)

1 personal pencil sharpener

3 highlighters (any color)

5 dry eraser markers (thin, any color)

Headphones for computer (in plastic zip lock bag with your child's name on it)

3 wide ruled notebooks labeled -1 for Math 1- for Writing  1- Music

1 plastic red folder labeled HOMEWORK

1 plastic blue folder labeled CLASSWORK

1 extra folder any color or design on it

1 pair of kid scissors

3 boxes a dozen pre -sharpened #2 pencils (place in plastic zip lock with child's name)  

1 large pencil box to keep their school supplies in 

The following supplies are optional but very much appreciated:

2-3 Lysol disinfecting wipe canisters

1 bottle of antibacterial sanitizer

1 roll of paper towels

1 package of plain white computer paper 
3 -4 boxes of facial tissues
