Welcome!

This is my third year working in the North Bergen School District as a school psychologist. I received my Bachelors and Masters degree from New Jersey City University. School psychologists are members of a child study team which support students' ability to learn. School Psychologists apply expertise learning to help children and youth succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. We partner with families, teachers, school administrators, to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community. As school psychologists we facilitate the following:

 

 Improve Academic Achievement and Engagement:

 

     Promote student motivation and engagement

     Conduct psychological assessments

     Individualize instruction and interventions

     

Promote Positive Behavior and Mental Health:

 

       Improve student communication and social skills

       Assess student emotional and behavioral needs

       Provide Individual and group counseling

 

Support Diverse Learners:

 

       Assess diverse learning needs

       Provide culturally responsive services to students and families 

       

Strengthen Family-School Partnerships:

 

      Help families understand their child's learning and mental health needs

      Help effectively engage families with teachers and other school staff

      Enhance staff understanding and responsiveness to diverse cultures
