Summer Band Information

Every summer, North Bergen offers a music program for all band students entering grade 4 and up. It takes place at the high school during the month of July on Mondays through Thursdays. Students receive group lessons and participate in ensemble rehearsals. They prepare music for a concert that is performed at the end of July. This program is a really fun way for students to meet other musicians in town, work with high school musicians and music teachers from our other schools, and improve their techniques over the summer. All my students who have participated love the experience and go back year after year. No experience is necessary for the incoming 4th graders.

In order to participate, students can pick up a registration form and an instrument rental form (if needed) from me. Summer rentals are free for beginners who are taking part in the summer music program. Registration takes place at the North Bergen Rec Center on June 27th or 28th from 9am-11am. If you miss the registration days and still want to participate, you can show up on the first day of summer band (July 5) at the high school and register your child then.
