Welcome to our English as a Second Language class! I look forward to a fun and educational experience with all of our students and families.

Our ESL class is an inviting and comfortable learning environment where ALL students are welcomed and positively encouraged to build academic and social English communication skills. I have been teaching ESL for over 25 years, and in that time, I have expanded my training to include graduate level ESL coursework, a Master's Degree in Teaching, and continuous training on current teaching strategies and methods. I am always willing and available to offer any assistance to students and parents. Please feel free to contact me through E-mail or by phone. Meetings can also be arranged and scheduled. The mission for the North Bergen ESL/Bilingual Program is to preserve our students' heritage (linguistically and culturally), while expanding their skills and knowledge in order to achieve full integration individually and socially within the mosaic of a global culture.

Thank you for your hard work and dedication in using virtual learning. Here are a few very important reminders.

Daily Attendance - Please be on time for your Google Classroom meetings.

Check your Google Classroom every day. Go to the STREAM tab to see important messages. Go to the ASSIGNMENTS tab to see the work that you are responsible to complete.

Complete all assignments on time. They must be submitted by the following day through Google Classroom unless specified otherwise in the instructions. This MUST be done in order for you to receive credit and be graded. All assignments should be done on a daily basis. Submitting Assignments: Assignments can be submitted to the teacher's E-mail. Some assignments are submitted automatically through the websites on which the students are working. Pictures of the completed assignments can also be E-mailed to the teacher.

Assignments can be found on Google Classroom (see links on side menu). It is IMPORTANT that students know their Google E-mail and passwords in order to enter Google Classroom.

Check your E-mail. Your student E-mail accounts are open and you will find Google Hangout invites and other important information there.

Google Meet - We will use this to have live communication and lessons. It is IMPORTANT that you join in and participate. These virtual meetings will be held during school hours only.

Specials (Art, Music, Phys. Ed., World Language, and Computer Tech) have their own Google Classrooms and their assignments should be submitted directly to those teachers.

I will be available between 9am and 3pm every day to assist in any way. I hope the students do the best that they can. Our goal is to continue our education and prepare our students. Thank you parents for your assistance and hard work. Together, we will be successful.
