A bit about me...

It is so important that I get to know each and every one of my students, and I would also love to share a bit about who I am with you!

My academic & professional life...

I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology in 2004.  After working in the mental health field for several years, I chose to return to college in pursuit of a degree in Education.  I was extremely fortunate to be hired as a Second Grade Teacher at Franklin School in 2007.  I quickly fell in love with the profession, and decided to fulfill a Master's Degree program in Elementary Education, which I completed in 2013.

After 13 memorable years as a Second Grade Teacher, I was offered the opportunity to become an Interventionist for Franklin School.  I am very much looking forward to working closely with students in a small-group setting and helping them develop into confident readers!

Outside of work...

If I had not become a teacher, I likely would have pursued a career as a chef, food photographer, a zoologist (I adore all kinds of animals!), or an athletics trainer.  In June of 2019, my high school sweetheart (who I married in 2008) and I welcomed our lovely daughter.

In the short time I have been a mom, I have already learned that there is nothing I would not do for my daughter.  I know that your sons and daughters are your ultimate pride, and that you want the very best for them in every facet of life.  If there is anything you feel I can do to further assist your child's academic, social, or emotional development, please know that I am available to you!  Do not hesitate to email me with any questions you may have.  I look forward to learning about each and every one of you in the coming months!
